Artists bringing people together.
The Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center is managed and operated 100% by volunteers.
We do not have paid employees. We do not charge an admission to exhibits or literary events.
Our classes are offered at low rates in order to be as inclusive as possible.
Since 1953 we have worked tirelessly to bring cultural events to our surrounding communities and the greater Philadelphia area.
MRAC is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation.
We are supported by grant from the Philadelphia Cultural Fund and donations from visitors and members.

The Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center is an active arts & humanities organization, housed in a historic carriage house in Manayunk, Philadelphia.
MRAC offers three exciting programs for individuals to develop their creative capabilities.
Exhibitions at MRAC include monthly gallery shows. In March, we open with the annual member's show and in July is the prestigious juried show. In between, we host featured artists like plein air artists, Harald Grote and Mateus Costa.
Humanities at MRAC include monthly poetry readings following the gallery openings as well as many other events and workshops. Peter Krok, the editor of the Schkulkill Valley Journal, leads the humanities department.
Classes at MRAC span mediums from clay to fibers and everything in between. We've just announced an intensive summer program, in addition to Yoga and Craft Workshops featuring several Philly artists. Learn more then register today!
