This 5 session weekly class invites teens and adults to express ideas and emotions through a combination of visual art and poetry. We will upcycle old and damaged books, magazines, and printed texts to create our own booklets.

Participants will learn how to uncover poems by highlighting hidden meaning and ccovering the rest with meaningful artwork. Over the course of the class, students will experiment with visual design, storytelling, and mixed-media techniques while creating a personalized collection of blackout poetry pieces bound into a unique booklet to take home. No writing or art experience is required - just curiosity and imagination.
