Portfolio Boot Camp
Portfolio Boot Camp
Portfolio Boot Camp is a two-day creative intensive designed to help young artists ages 12 - 18 explore their creative identity and develop a portfolio that communicates their skills, interests, ideas, and goals.
Through creative activities, portfolio examples, career exploration, critique, reflection, and hands-on planning, participants learn what makes a portfolio compelling, how to select and organize their work, and how to communicate their creative ideas, process, and point of view. The boot camp covers portfolio storytelling, artist statements, artwork documentation and presentation, constructive critique, and strategies for preparing a portfolio for art school and college admissions.
Participants are encouraged to bring existing artwork, sketches, works in progress, or other creative pieces for critique and portfolio selection; however, previous work or finished pieces are not required to participate.
Students leave with personalized feedback, practical portfolio-building tools and resources, and a strategic action plan to continue developing their creative work with confidence and purpose.
Students should bring a bag lunch each day.
